New Music Monday (11/22/10)

I've reviewed 5 albums for you today.  Trust me when I say that I took the time to listen to EVERY single track on these albums; been a long day.  But those of you who truly know me, know that there's NOTHING I'd rather be doing than listening to music.  <3  With that being said:

1. My Chemical Romance - This new album just sounds completely different than their others.  I guess you can call me old school, but they'll NEVER make a better album than their first one.  Anyways, I give this one 2 out of 5 stars.  In addition to the singles (Sing, Na na na na, The Only Hope For Me Is You) you should check out SCARECROWS and Summertime.

2. Kanye West - Well, I have to say that this much-anticipated album was...less than desirable (especially with such a controversial cover).  However, I LOVED all the collaborations.  All the way from Rick Ross to Bon Iver, there's a lot of variety.  Very nice...  I give this album a 3 out of 5 stars.  In addition to the singles (Runaway, POWER, Monster) listen to Dark Fantasy and All of the Lights.

3. Robyn - I knew when I heard Dancing On My Own, that she'd be the "Comeback Kid".  That song was probably one of my Top 5 Songs of this whole year.  I think every single track on this album could be a club anthem.  It's certainly an album you can dance to.  ;)  I thought it was also a great concept to collaborate with Snoop Dogg on a track.  Smart thinking...  Just the fact that over HALF of the album's tracks went "Single" before the album dropped, says a lot about this album.  I gave this album a 4 out of 5 stars.  In addition to all SIX singles, check out Time Machine and Get Myself Together.

4. Black Eyed Peas - I was pleasantly surprised with this album.  Very much so.  My only issue with it is that most of the songs have very similar sounds.  But at least the sound is a good one.  I was surprised that there was only 1 single for this album (The Time).  But I love that song anyways, because I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Dirty Dancing.  :)  I gave this album a 4 out of 5 stars.  Also check out Love You Long Time and Xoxoxo.

5. Nicki Minaj - I have been waiting for this album for SO long now.  And it was WELL worth the wait.  I recommend this album above all the other 4 listed here today.  It was simply amazing.  I give this album a 5 out of 5 stars.  Hands down.  Listen to Roman's Revenge and hear the intensity in Nicki and Shady's voices.  It's unbeievable to listen to...just amazing.  In addition to this song AND the singles (Check It Out, Right Thru Me, Your Love) listen to Fly and Dear Old Nicki.

Of course, you all know that these are simply my own opinions.  And you all have your own opinions.  You also know that I don't allow comments on posts; but please feel free to email me your thoughts:  tera_w_85@hotmail.com
Goodnight everyone!!!  <3
